It happens to be true that most small towns hold an annual gala or carnival to provide a bit of excitement to the residents and children living in the surrounding suburbs. Sure, these aren’t huge events, but they are still a great opportunity to get out in the sun, away from the TV and computer, and in to the fresh summer breeze. Well, the same idea applies to the town of Reading, except for the fact that the festival being held there is actually one of the largest in the whole of England.
Indeed, the Reading Festival 2009 follows in the footsteps of the last 35 or so festivals, which have been run yearly back as far as the 1960’s. Whilst there have been many developments in the festival between then and now, the ideological beliefs of the organizers are still very similar.
